It is arranged in an easy-to-follow format and covers topics in concise, easy to retain chunks. Highly recommended. I like that the text book is very easy to read. It’s straight to the point. I also purchased the flash card which makes it easier to have someone quiz me on the vocabulary.
I would definitely recommend this book. Definitely easy to follow and well defined. I recommend this book for test preparation. I loved how the information was thorough, but unfortunately this did not help me with passing my exam. Getting ready to my exams and this test preparation make so much easier. It's an ok book to start but here's the break down. If you are completely new to studying life insurance you're going to need to purchase an additional glossary. This book doesn't have one. I not only had to look up terms on line but order a separate glossary as well. Very disappointing. This book also doesn't have an index.
What I found the most frustrating is the practice test. It asks you questions about information that's not provided in the book. It doesn't tell you on the test that either. It's positive qualities are, it gets straight to the point, no fluff. It is a decent starting point. I don't like health insurance being combined. The way the book is organized is not all that impressive. If you buy this book please know, if you want to pass your test you're probably going to need a couple more books. Happy studying. I would give this test guide a 4; I find the layout is easy to navigate through but has room for improvement. The life insurance section is very well laid out in that it builds off the previous definition in order to understand the other policies offered. In contrast, the health insurance section is very scattered and unorganized.
In the beginning of the chapter you may briefly here are the options for disability, social security, long term, hospital indemnity, etc. From there can stem each of the appropriate terms and info associated with. I have utilized a different study course through Hondros college that had definitions in the back of its book in addition to the course text, and the memorization of the definitions was the most difficult and anxiety-provoking part for me. Maybe using bulleted lists for quicker absorption of the material may be more helpful. Overall you offer a very unique and quick-to-read resource, thank you.
